The Passage
From place of comfort
we face the unknown,
unaware of all the beauty to come.
On the other side
excitement builds,
as our loved ones await our arrival.
We don't want to leave
this place that we know,
immigrating to a new world called home,
but we cannot stay,
we have to move on
so to ensure our spirit's survival.
We press through the pain;
in fear we let go,
to travel through the dark passage
alone.
For one brief moment
it seems all is lost;
then comes the light, the breath, the
revival.
